QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025

l  Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released the latest QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025 on December 10, 2024. Forty universities in Taiwan were included in the list. Our university (Kaohsiung Medical University, KMU) ranked 690th in the world, 180th in Asia, 14th in Taiwan, and 2nd among private university in Taiwan. The Sustainability Ranking evaluates higher education institutions for their environmental impact, social impact, and governance.

l  In Taiwan, among the 9 indicators in the 3 categories evaluated, KMU ranked 5th in the "Good Governance" indicator (governance category), 6th in the "Equality" indicator (social impact category), 5th in the "Health and Wellbeing" indicator (social impact category), and the ranking in the environmental impact category also increased significantly to 20th.
